I have spent the majority of my career focusing on what some call the marketing mix or the 4Ps of marketing which are:
Product
Place
Price
Promotion
Recently I thought of these 4Ps differently. Consider if you will that these are the 4Ps of Life. You are the product that was uniquely designed with a specific purpose. Wherever you are placed your mission should include leading a fulfilling life as the best product on purpose.
Think of place as your journey. You as the product with a purpose will travel on this journey called life. Sometimes the places we end up are desired and some are undesired and unexpected. Be intentional about where you place yourself as the product. Make every effort the ensure you sparkle, glow, and grow where you are placed. Beware of placing your product in dead zones. When you find yourself in a dead zone its important to take a step back and use your product resources and skills to either make a U-turn or back out of the dead zone.
Now price is a big one. You must stop paying the price for past mistakes. Acknowledge them, forgive yourself, and move forward. It’s also time to stop making others pay the price for your past hurts. Forgive them so you can free yourself and them. Erase those bad debts. Stop devaluing yourself and know your worth.
The final “P” for life is promotion. Not sure if you caught my segment last week but I shared about D.O.P.E. Living. D.O.P.E. Living is Determined Optimistic Positive Encouraged Living. It’s an attitude that will help you navigate through life. It’s your job to embrace and promote D.O.P.E. Living.
You are the product with a purpose.
As the product any “place” you go it’s important for you to show up using your gifts to serve others while executing with excellence.
Your price was paid a long time ago it’s time to replenish your account so you can invest in enhancing your product and where you place it.
Once you recognize you are a product with a purpose then you can show up and shine anywhere you are placed. But you must stand firm on a non-negotiable price for your worth. Now all you want to do is passionately promote D.O.P.E. Living.
